I found this cool site called DailyLit that will deliver books into your inbox. I found it from another blog I read Playing on the Point. We are all so used to reading emails that by the time we go home for the day, we’re spent. So, this is a cool way to receive excerpts of books in your inbox. What a cool way to use technology! There are many free books and lots of newer ones that you can purchase. You can manipulate your settings to deliver your readings each week day or every other day. So, have a look-see and enjoy!

Le Le,
I just found your blog and your post about DailyLit. Thanks for your visits and comments. This summer I have been reading some “real” books too. Just finished Stegner’s “Angle of Repose” and Tyler’s “Accidental Tourist,” both have prompted me to do some serious thinking about being on the north side of middle age and the admonition to number our days rightly.
You are right that too often our days get consumed with mundane doings. Anything we can introduce into our personal world that prompts us toward more ennobling things (like great books!) is a very good thing.
Cheers!
Paul
