I received a few books for Christmas that I was wanting. I got two Wizard of Oz books from my parents: The Wizard of Oz (a pristine copy from 1956) and Ozma of Oz (also a pristine copy, but from 1989), both in hardback. They also got me a hardback book about Raggedy Anne (my favorite childhood toy) and a children’s Christmas book. Pretty sure Mom wants some grandkids…

I also received from my parents-in-law the ESV Literary Study Bible that I had asked for. My husband got me a “church” ESV Bible that is mock-leather-bound and has a beautiful Celtic cross etched into the binding on the front.

My husband received from his parents Philip K. Dick: Four Novels of the 1960s: The Man in the High Castle / The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch / Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? / Ubik (Hardcover). The movie Blade Runner was based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, probably the coolest title for a book EVER. I also got him a book titled Truth Decay: Defending Christianity Against the Challenges of Postmodernism as well as The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.

So, this was a Christmas filled with lots of books. I also got a piano book, which I can’t really use yet until we can afford to buy an electric piano and move into our own place, the latter of which is a priority…
